I figured it was finally time to write a journal about it. I've only had it for two weeks...
Okay, first, this is not going to be a critique of it. Not really, anyways.

#1- Graphics are lovely. I've been watching the opening video for weeks, waiting and waiting... In game is what I've come to expect of Squeenix. What bothers me is still the talking. I swear they could put a teeny bit more effort into matching them up, and not make them just look like fish...

#2- Music is nice too- my favorites still being Cosmos' theme and 'One-Winged Angel'.

#3- ...This is where I have problems. The clothing on half these people is... is scandalous. Sephiroth's alternate costume is him half-naked. Lots of Museum mode is spent staring at his bare chest. He's very well muscled... And Kuja? The first thing that you get to zoom in on in the Museum is his man-thong covered crotch. Nomura, you want us to play the game, do you not?

Which leads me to #4, which only Paperclip and Crystle will get-
SQUALL'S ASS.
HOLY CRAP, THE FIRST SCENE HE'S IN HIS BUTT IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF REACTION I HAD TO THAT?! Not to mention hearing his voice... Oy. Makes me glad I don't do nosebleeds, or I'd have been in the hospital a week ago.

#5- Hahahaha, I love dubbing. Takes out all the bad words but leaves in the innuendo (Sephy, bad boy!) and has even crappier lines than you could believe.
For example. When Tidus ([link]) encounters the Cloud of Darkness ([link]) he says 'I can score even in the dark!'.
I couldn't stop laughing for ten minutes. I know this refers to his blitzball skills (a game in FFX; I don't feel like explaining it...), but...
GOOD GOD, they should have caught that one.

Aaaaaaaaaand #6, my biggest pet peeve of all:
Their names are RUINED. Everybody says 'Squall' weird. And 'Kuja'. Most of the names should have remained as they were in Japanese, like how much better Frioniel was over Firion. But mostly, they butchered pronunciation.
Tidus: I always heard this as 'Tide-us'. They say it 'Tee-dus'. NO. It sounds so stupid, especially when Ichigo/Firion says it.
Zidane: I always imagined it exactly the way it's spelled. 'Zih-dane'. But apparently it's actually 'Zih-dahn'. *groans*
